July is right around the corner, which means it’s time to start thinking about 4th of July outfits. I usually shy away from the typical American flag t-shirts and go for a more creative look by mixing classic red, white, and blue items. I get asked about my outfits a lot, so today I wanted to share some of my favorite Fourth of July outfits (see other outfit posts here).
Over the years I’ve found that simple cotton dresses and skirts are a lot more comfortable in a hundred degree heat than jean shorts. Most of my jean shorts have been pushed to the back of my closet and replaced with summer dresses or chino shorts.
An essential item for a 4th of July outfits is a jean jacket. I always have mine with me, since the festivities often go late into the night and a hundred degree day quickly drops to seventy degrees at night in the southwest.
We’re celebrating the Fourth of July in Charleston, South Carolina. You can see pictures of the trip on our Instagram account.
I hope you have a wonderful Fourth filled with many amazing 4th of July outfits!
