Master Bedroom Reveal

We moved into our dream house almost two years ago.  Naturally, we focused a lot less on our master bedroom decorations compared to the rest of house.  After our trip to Dunton, Colorado and visiting Los Poblanos lavender farm several times, I fell in love with the idea of a minimalist, rustic inspired master bedroom design and decor.  Luckily we didn’t have to do any renovations just a lot of decorations!  See a full video of our house on my Instagram stories.

I’ve linked all the items in our room at the bottom of this post.

One of my favorite master bedroom design and decor ideas, I’ve learned from vacationing at boutique hotels is that a white ceramic pitcher like this one is adds the perfect touch of rustic chic.

Etsy has an amazing collection of wall art pieces. Plus they offer the extra bonus of supporting small business!

Every woman deserves a full length mirror in her master.  It seriously makes getting dressed so much easier.  Affordable full length mirrors here, here and here.

I’m obsessed with these sheepskin rugs.  We own three of them and I just ordered another.  They make any space feel cozy instantly.

My headboard is my favorite piece in my room mainly because I discussed what I was envisioning with my hubby and that weekend he created it for me.  I love that he does wood working!  It makes each room feel personal and extra special knowing he built some of the items in each room.  This headboard has a similar feel and is only $135!

I’m also obsessed with this old fashioned alarm clock (only $14).  It adds so much character to the room.

Another master bedroom design and decor trick I learned from Los Poblanos lavender farm is to add a dried floral wreath to a room.  It brings the outdoors in and creates more warmth in a space than traditional art work.  These two dried wreaths are beautiful: wreath 1 & wreath 2.

Thank you, Kate! Unfortunately it’s so windy where we live that the pilot light in the fireplace is almost always blown out, but when it’s not it makes the room so cozy.

Carly, you have such an amazing eye for decorating!!
That sheepskin rug is almost like one I just “borrowed” from my mom that she had back in the 1970’s!! Funny how the decor trends come around too!!

This room is stunning! I’m obsessed with your fluffy rug, and love all your little extra accessories that give it an extra homey look whilst still being really chic and modern. When I renovate my own room I’d also want it to have this clean white look, as it’s so gorgeous.
